31 as well. Sols are wasted on the young.

Haha, if it makes you feel better Doc, I got my first Sol right when I turned 16, and had it for a month before I got my license.

See, that's just wrong. It's a right of passage that your first car must be a beater or a shitbox. In my HS days, a guy had a '66 1/2 Mustang with a milkcrate for a passenger seat. Car always smelled of gas. Another guy had a fooking awesome '77 Olds Cutlass Supreme-- Orange, no less. With all white vinyl interior-- we bought gas every single day. Me? Ford Festiva... L. It had luxury items like "a windshield", and "an alternator". All four struts blew out-- twice.

Having a Sol as your first car simply has to skew your worldview-- it must look like a happy place to some of you. Ahh, how fooled you youth must be.

Hahaha, I couldn't deal with that. A friend of mine drives a flat eggshell white 1968 4 door ChevyII Nova. As badass as that car is as our "ragingmobile" (aka, the tank), I just couldn't tolerate it as a daily driver.

I wub me Sol.

My first car was an 82 Mercury Zephyr ... its the same as the Ford Fermont. It was a v6, 4 door, piece of crap - but I loved it. It was possibly about same size as a Civic. It wasn't big at all, for a sedan. I'd pull into my high school parking lot cranking Slayer or Fear Factory or something ... while all the kids with systems looked over like "wtf". There was a little spot to look thru the rear window with my mirror because the edges were covered in band stickers

I loved it

mine was a shag wagon, 93 toyota previa. it was nice and all but i was 16 and driving a minivan. my dad tells me everyday "admit it you wish you still had the 'egg' ". that damn thing had 7 stock speakers, i put in a 15 sub in a bandpass box and cruised around with the ladies. oh and i had some 10 spoke rims on it, it was great. :grinpimp:

10 spoke rims or hubcaps?

My first car was a 92 Civic DX Sedan. Yeah, I know I had it rough. No power window, door locks, cruise control, power mirrors, sunroof etc. I had it rough. I'm just playing. I got the car at 18 and payed for it myself. All $3900 of it was earned by me and I've always payed my own insurance.
