Default widest tire

Hey what's the widest tire I can safely get on a 15x6JJ rim??
I know I can get a 195 50 15 but I was wondering if I can get 205 50 15 on there..

If anyone has done it please let me know..

205/50/15 fits fine  It baloons out *a little* but no big deal. If anything that little bit of extra rubber will give you a little curb protection. The response of the tire will be a little worse than the 195mm, but overall grip should be better.

I'm running 205-50-15 AVS ES100's on OEM 15 inch rims, not sure if they're 6in or 6.5 though.

I have the stock steelies off the 02 civics that are 15's and I have 205/50/15's. And I think that they're only 5.5" wide. And it's weird that my tires doesn't "balloon". I thought that it would because the wheel isn't as wide, but it looks great.

That's the one thing about civics. Can't put anything beyond 205 and still be daily driven w/o problems. I want a car where I can stick 235's in the front and 265's in the back and still be able to drive it everyday... h:
