Pay ME to haul stuff away? Yeah, RIGHT! I know at least two junkyards where you have to pay an *entry* fee to get it, let alone take stuff out!

I went to one massive one that had a constantly burning tire fire. They had 25% 80s Fords, 25% 80s GMs, 25% Dodges, and 25% misc... which included one BMW, one Nissan 280Z - which had been hollowed out in a fire - one Mercedes-Benz from like 1966... and just to look at all this stuff, and find a bearing for a Pontiac 3800 engine, the junkyard wanted to charge us like $20 a head. We finally convinced the guy, a total backwoods hick, that we weren't mechanics, we didn't work at a garage, and we were humble everyday folk who just wanted to look around. I'd bet he watched us from far away with binoculars or something, though. You'd think he had the secret to cold fusion in there or anything.

Jeez. I'm in Alabama and it's not that bad!

I go to Davis junkyard. My door handle had a crack that finally broke. I went to Davis and walked out with two black door handles for 10 bucks each.

Well, one time I went to a junkyard and got an instrument cluster for the Sol for $40 and then I went back a while later to the same junkyard and the bastard wanted $100 for it .

I bought it for $40. Then I needed another one for some reason and I came back like maybe a month later and it was a different guy that wanted to charge me more and wouldn't budge. The first guy was really nice, the second guy was a jerk.

Maybe it was for the Civic....yeah, it was for the Civic.
