1st gen = cable tranny
2nd gen and all 92+'s hydraulic system
so might as well get a 2nd gen which will be newer and bolt in easier

well I am kinda cheating though cause
I got my first gen b16a with lsd complete swap for 1500 bucks from a buddy of mine in toledo...so it was worth it for me...the hasport conversion from cable to hydro is very simple and straight forward, and it has not presented any problems to date.

exactly what I was going to say. I suppose you could get the 1st gen and see if Hmotors will sell you a hydro tranny instead of a cable.

If the price is the same, get the 2nd gen.

I've heard the cable/hydro conversions suck... no personal experience, but just hearsay.

I have the cable to hydro conversion and it is the rockzors....I have had no problem with it..I mean all it is is a bracket so you can use your hydrolic actuator with the cut arm of the cable tranny....as long as you follow instructions and are not a dumb ass it is very easy

as already posted, hydraulic vs. cable trans. difference.

also I believe first generations (CRX/Civic) are OBD0 vs. the second generation (92+) OBD1 and OBD2.

I was also thinking of local vehicle laws (may not apply to you) where the engine must be same or newer year as the car. Unless you plan on using it for off road use or not register it as a legal car for highway use.
