haha u can get a auto trannys.. VTEC does add HP over the powerband...for LS/VTEC u have to get a ECU,wireing, and u have to have the head milled to fit the LS block...sounds hard buts its not...as for the b20 havent heard of a big aftermarket for that motor yet..(its still pretty new)
b16/b18s have the biggest aftermarket... and yes b16a2 is everthing(motor,tranny,ecu, wires,axles.... ill find out what all comes with it for sure)

 

well, i think i am leaning towards the b18b1..hopefully froma 96-00 series..so assuming i did get the b18b1..not taking into account that i would eventually want to do the ls/vtec conversion (that will be a different post..btw..did i get an estimate on how much the conversion would cost)...what would i need to buy in order to get it into my car and operating?..i also cant find a listing for the b18b..if its $750..count me in, shoot, i could even get some additional performance enhancers..

well, the h22 would be the fastest by far. you wouldnt even need to mod the motor.

yea i would like the h22..but, $5k is a lot of money that i dont really want to spend, especially since i dont plan on racing..i just want to not have to get blown off the road every time i floor the gas...and i am sick of people looking at my, now pimped out looking car, and the first thing they say is, what do u have under the hood..plus, as previously mentioned, i no longer have a functional engine so now would be the perfect time to install a new, upgraded engine...i didnt see the b18b on hmotor etc...atleast not for $750...so...we are all in agreement..kindof..that i should get the b18b? sounds like a plan to me....JLAUDIO...thanx for looking into that for me...be nice to possibly be able to get hooked up, lucky, my uncle has the no-how to install an engine..otherwise the cost would be significantly higher...still taking suggestions/opinions/knowledge, etc...im quite sure this isnt going to be a simple task...

 

seriously costs that much to install an engine? I myself am planning to eventually get rid of my 140k mile engine. I dont really care which one i get, since im also not gonna race. I just dont want to have to deal with engine problems.

if u decide to get nething other than the ls motor, u would most likely have to do a disc coversion to the rear wheels. for the b18b u might be ok with drums in the back.

 

i dont see y it would cost 500-1500 to install..the mechanic that was checking on my car wanted $300 to take the engine out of the car..i would assume taking an engine out of a car has the same steps as putting an engine back in a car..hence, it should be $300 to screw in the bolts or whatever...ugh! i horrendously dislike mechanics...usually.
