Default Crappy sounds uno and dous

Ok well my car is old, 210,000 miles old. I've noticed some odd sounds coming from parts of the car. Specifically the front tire area. When I turn, creaking sounds seem to come from around the tires at the front of the car, its especially bad making left turns. I really dont know what it could be, possible bad suspension? The other sound is a rattling coming from the read windshield, probably just loose? Maybe its my loose bumper who knows. Any help is greatly appreciated as I have no real clue as to what is making these sounds. Thanks for the time.

The creaking may be from a bad CV joint. You would probably want to take it to a mechanic to check this if you don't know much about cars. Do you still have the stock wheels and tire size? If not, are they the correct size so they don't rub?? It could also be a susp. bushing that is dry and creaking. It's hard to tell with so little info about your car.

When you say a "rattling coming from the read windshield", I'm assuming you mean the rear glass in the car(the one with the defroster) I would tend to look at the back dash panel. If the panel gets loose, it will rattle and can be very annoying. Also, check for loose objects in your trunk.(ie jack handles, nuts, bolts rolling around)

Hope this helps and gives you a start.

Well I've gotten the back noise to stop (I just had a truck full of stuff). I'll have to see if it totally stopped tomorrow. Also it tends to have a hard time starting when it's cold, how could I fix that?

chances are its a bushing if its creaking.....CV joints usually click when they are going out.

If you can lean on the front end (on each corner) and it creaks at all, normally a bad bushing in the upper control arm. Could also be a bad shock.

Sometimes they will creak before they start to click. :dunno: I've seen it happen both ways.

But, yeah, bushings are easy to inspect and you can spray them with silicon to see if it stops the creaking.

Reminds me, I need to do that with mine too. Damn salt always makes mine creak...

Well I went out and looked up in the wheel well, and I rocked the car back and forth and it didnt make a creaking sound like it usually does, that's odd. What is the bushing? And how do I tell if its crapped out.
