I got a first gen in my 95 dx and it runs like a brand new motor....I got it for a real good price from a buddy of mine. I pulled the head before I put the motor in and the cylinder walls looked bran spankin new....I guess it prob. just depends.

No, the age shouldn't stop you.

The conversion to a hydrolic transaxle (or your car to cable) and the OBD update might, though.

actually the conversion was very simple and straight forward....all I did was use my dx harness and got a obd 1 dizzy and swapped over my injectors from my dx.....very simple

And run the VTEC wires, of course. For someone who knows what they are doing, it's not that bad, but some people just refuse to do electrical work.

Well Ebay is good but not always the best idea ! I say that only because God forbid there is a problem with the motor you will have to deal with someone who does'nt wanna give you your shit back . I would try to go to the junk yard and see what they have b4 going online and if you do buy online get a site that a shit load of people order from this way if theres a problem you know they have your back .

Goodluck !
