i just found a d16y8 motor at one of the local wrecking yards, and the guy said he doesnt know what year it is and miles it has, but i he said he would sell me the block and head, with valve cover, for 100 dollars!

He did say it had a light tick in the top end tho!
would this be a steal or no?

please someone advise me on this cause i wanna go get it today!

even if the head is junk could i sell the two for more than 100 bucks?

 

if you have the means to work on it/strip it down, its a good price, but i'd say only if you need some parts off of it.
