Local Speed Shop Screwed Me Over!!!
just today i noticed that my CV boots ripped and grease lined inside the fender on BOTH sides. i just got new ones installed not even a year ago. i called the shop that did them and they gave me the schpiel about how "lowered" cars dont come with a warranty and how they rip faster due to the drop. i said BS cause i dropped my car when i first got it and the stock CV boots did rip until last year. then he goes well what year is your car and i said 96. so my stock CV boots lasted 6 years while the "new" ones they put on only lasted a couple months. they did not want to help me out at all. bastards.
then he told me they dont use honda OEM boots its some generic brand. that made me more pissed cause when i first got them done they told me it was OEM.
there goes another 200 bux on nothing.

Go buy the half shafts and do em yourself. What I recommend is when you first get em, rub down the boots with a degreaser, to clean the boot. Then cover the boots in what I like to call "kidnapper tape." It's basically duct tape that's clothe instead of plastic. Then slap em on the car. The tape protects the boot really well, and if it somehow gets unraveled, it's tape. Can't really hurt anything.

well, you could always call the BBB and report them. Locally, here in New Orleans, there's a news station that has a feature called "on your side" where if you report this kind of stuff, they put it on the 6-oclock news!!! You'd be amazed how the threat of bad publicity gets shops to make good on their work !!!
good luck.
good luck.
