Well from my readings since I'll be in the market for one of them next year is that the EVO is quicker when it comes to turning (steering ratio is smaller). Whereas the STi is just a brut with so much power

I personally like the look of the EVO over the STi. STi needs something - just looks funny

Funny thing is at one of the autocrosses in May I competed against two EVOs, 1 STi, 1 fully prepared Porsche Carrera 4, and 3 WRXs. I beat the fastest one out of that bunch by 2 seconds on that rainy day

If any sort of "test drive" will be allowed, its with credit approval and a write-up of a lot of details and numbers h:
Come down to Lancaster. The Mitsubishi place here keeps asking me if I would test drive one He called like every week for the past 2 months

I might have to take you up on that. I wouldn't even want to test drive it at that point. Just sitting in the passenger seat with joO at the wheel would be sweet and thrilling enough....:bigok:

How far are you from Scranton? I know we have radio ads for RedShift Motorsports around here. Can't be too far...:dunno:

Its just too bad the weather will be deteriorating more and more h:

PM me if ya want.

i work at an autocenter and every time we service a vehicle for any tire/mechanical work it has to be taken for a test drive, thankfully enough its in a fairly rich part of town, so i get the chance to drive a lot of nice cars. which is actually the reason i picked out my civic.

and for the record there are 4 sti's driving around memphis there is one on the showroom floor at the dealership, and to take it for a test drive you have to make a down payment!

Hrm prolly about 2-3 hours. I'm 2 hours from Wilkes-Barre and about the same from Redshift Motorsports, whom I know the owner pretty well.

You'll want to strap yourself in the passenger seat because when I test drive a car I test drive it like I'm at an autocross And we have lots of windy roads here

Exactly why I'd be looking very forward to such a ride h:

We should all get together one day and have a mini-eastern PA HAN meet. There would be like 10 of us...:chuckles:

me and incublinkus may make a trip out to joO one day...

We test drove the EVO prior to my cousin buying it. We test drove it all by ourselves with no down payment or anything. My cousin paid $32,000.00 with a 75,000 bumper to bumper, sunroof, spoiler, guage kit, bad ass rally shift knob, EVO door sills, CD changer, and mats. About the only thing he did not get was fog lights which seempointless to me since the HID's are bright as fukk and adjustable from inside the car. Oh, and this car would rape a G35 or a 350Z in every way with trunk space and a backseat to boot. I'm sold. If you drove one, you would be too. It's funny though the little things they did to keep the price down. We just changed the oil (Mobile-1 from the factory) after break-in and once you look under the car you see the engineering perfection that is the EVO. Every piece of this car screams top quality. From the oil cooler and fluidyn looking radiator, to the intercooler with automatic water sprayer.
