Default Cable type hood locks on Civics

Has anyone ever put one in their Civic? Has anyone ever seen on installed in a Civic?

I feel like I've searched everywhere and there's nothing about these on a civic. I want to know before I plunk down the money for one...

I'd like to get one to prevent a thief from simply popping the hood open and disconnecting the battery.

How so? If a thief isn't able to open the hood, the motor should be relatively safe, no?

Thanks, yeah, that is a problem with cable ones but i figure that it will at least slow them down and it's got to be better than no lock at all. What about hiding the cable and key hole maybe? My main concern was whether or not the locking mechanism would fit in a civic but your input is appreciated.

my friends got locking hood pins on his car. He has a little circular key, like the type that goes in the top of a candy machine, and to get to engine, he has to unlock both locks before the hood will open. You can pop the hood, but it wont go up until you unlock both pins. Ever heard of these?

Sorry if it doesnt make sense, ill take pics tomorrow
