? about projectors

Blue Ion lenses use dichroic lenses that emit a yellow light when on, but are blue when off. The dichroic lense reflects blue light waves, but allows other light waves (yellow, etc) through. The lumens output is less, and gets worse when you use a blue bulb in a blue ion housing.
The "Ion" is just a marketing term.
Rule of thumb, most projectors aren't that great compared to stock.

I'm not talking about putting a 9006 or 9005 bulb in an H3 projector, I'm talking about using the entire projector housing w/ lens, cutoff shield, everything.

There's actually a projector set for 5G Civics that use 9006 and 9005...it doesn't look as good as the H3 projectors though. Also, a 9006 is a big bulb and will not fit in an H3 housing.
I was gonna buy a set brand new for $50 (out of business sale at flexivity), but I didn't have money at the time. Came back an hour later and they were gone.
They're available at nopi.com for about $179.

who makes these?!?!?! thats awesome i want higher light output more than my halos (althought they look cool as shiit )
i think the blue ion STILL does something. my new projectors don't shint blue but stock color even w/ hyperwhit bulbs...... shine even more 'stockish' with regular bulbs

Yes, it uses 9006 and 9005...I'm talking about the depth of the housing when I say a 9006 (very long compared to H3) won't fit an H3 housing.
The pic I posted is the 9006/9005 Civic headlight. Like I said before, it doesn't look as clean as the H3 projectors. I'm not sure on lighting performance...the 9005 reflector looks like it didn't have any though into the design.
If you still want a 9006/9005 Civic headlight, go to nopi.com.
