It was photoshoped just to get an idea. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think the numbers illuminate on the JDM guages. I think around the guage illuminates amber and that is all. I am probably wrong.

actually they do and it is a fairly faint red/amber that they light up..it's actually a bit of a let down.

Unless you put the bulbs from the stock honda which should be a blue-ish/white...but that might look gay(haven't tried it)

would there be enough light from the numbers, amber lit sides, and lit needle to see the printed numbers?

Sorry about not posting a reply it was my bedtime..
But it only lights up the numbers and needle but it's not really bright enough for printed number because of the fact that the light is an amber red.

But it might be feasible if you were to get brighter bulbs for it.
Although I haven't the slightest idea where you would find such a thing, since there really isn't a supply or demand for gauge cluster bulbs.
