i have a 95 civic and on the driver side i hear a noise that sounds like some kind of belt squeeking in a circular way if u know what i mean .... im not sure but i think it may be a fan belt BUT when i accelerate the noice goes away only when im in idle at a stop sign or light it makes that noise.... any ideas? i know its kinda general but still anything would help

 

how many miles and mods to your car? could it be the timing belt?

 

Power steering pump or belt maybe? I have a similar case, and found out my power steering pump is going.

no power steering but maybe alternator belt i dunno

 

There is no fan belt. Notice any small drops of coolant? It could be your waterpump.

 

Spray wd40 on the belt and if it stops then you know it's time to replace that belt.

 

actually i have noticed my coolant goes down every couple weeks... like goes down noticably... might be water pump?
