Default Removal of emission lines/canister on EG VX?

I was just wondering if it was possible to remove the emission lines and the canister and other items on a 1994 Civic Hatch VX..
Can it be done without any CELs and problems?

Where can I find more info on this?

Thanks for the space.

Hate to say it, but it is not worth the effort. The VX 1.5L block is nothing special, and the head is a big POS. That engine is beyond help, if you want speed you have to swap. Sorry. :happysad:

why do you wanna do that?

you'll probably fail visual inspection during emissions test. and if the purge solenoid isn't plugged up i do believe it'll throw a code. not positive

My reasons are.. I broke a nipple off the purge solenoid, dont wanna buy a new one..

I had a non-vx intake manifold and TB I wanted to put on for a little more breathing (power, ha..)

Clean the clutter up...

Just little reasons like that.

I know the VX motor is not a power maker.. This is my beater for now until I do some more stuff to my DSM.. then I am going to work on a swap.. I have these parts laying around and figured why not? The EGR isnt on the intake mani I have.. I guess I will have to find me an ECU..?

Montgomery... sadly. We now have draft beer! :yay: I've been to Mobile though.

You really shouldn't remove the lines. If the purge solenoid is the same for a D15B7, I have one... PM me if you want it.

I just wanted to put the manifold and tb on.. and figured since the EGR has to go.. I would toss the rest.. Sorta like on a DSM..

Looks like I have to go tomorrow and just pick one up at a local junkyard.. Thanks though.

I would like to know if it can all be removed if I throw in say a CX/DX ecu since it does not have the EGR... without any problems..

Jeez, you have one of everything for sale

Using a CX or DX ECU will disable your VTEC-E, which would make the car even slower then it is already. It would basically become a perminent 12 valve instead of a 12/16 valve hybrid thing-a-ma-jigger.
