Anyone heard of a battery stabilizer called "Hot Inzm kai", owner of a store said it serves the same purpose as Sun Auto's battery stabilizer

is that a rubber washer/grommet under that ground wire?

A capacitor should discharge more quickly than a battery. What happens is some of the charge is stored in a capacitor so the battery has to work less. I google translated the japanese webpage and they mention quicker starting time. But judging from the size of this box, the capacitor is probably not that big. When you think about how much current is discharged by a battery, the capacitor will probably have no effect. They are attempting to minimize the inrush current coming out of the battery from what I can see. Do they have a size on the capacitor?

They also bring all the grounds to one point on the negative battery terminal. This is considered good grounding practice to minimize ground loops. The way autos are grounded now, the grounds could have different voltage levels.

Waste of money, it's a band-aid fix for poor grounds. I have never seen an unmolested Civic have a grounding problem anyway.The wire will still ground through the bolt.

I agree totally. Poor grounds could still occur with this kit. I especially don't like their advertising. They brag about more horsepower. :eh: They also say it limits voltage flow. :screwy: Really it's current that flows.

Some pages show it for BMW's so you could be cool as if you owned one too. Boy they're really preying on people's lack of knowledge about cars and electricity. I can see the makers of these products go before a judge about misleading claims.

But just as Kai said, I have yet to see a civic have hardcore grounding issues... I could see it help alot in a car like an RX because of the hardcore 3500rpm bogging issue thats caused by poor factory grounding, but not really on a civic.
