I met a couple at the mall tonight, in the cell phone store. We were all talking about cars, and it was a Navy guy (Sub base in Groton, CT is 15 mins away) & his wife. He said that he bought her ITR #1078 and after 900 miles, the paint would actually flake off the car at 80 mph and above. The car was yellow.

They brought it to the dealership, and they told him it had gotten contaminated before it was painted. Has anyone else had this problem, or known anyone who has? I'm wondering if it's just a freak occurance.

Speed limit is 65, whats he doin 80 for? Ever see those older Chevy gray cars, all their paint came off.

Can't say I've heard of that experience before, and I know quite a few ITR owners.

Dude, the same happened to me. My white teg, the paint just chips of so easily, it sucks. I took it to Acura, they pretty much told me to go to hell. They cant do anything they say. I guess Im stuck. Btw, 80mph is an everyday thing here. The speed limit is 75, so cruising at 80 is pretty much the slow lane.

Hmmm really I havn't heard much about paint flaking off.... Sounds like there was a problem when it was painted.
